Krakow is one of the oldest and largest cities of Poland. In 2005 city population was over 750,000 inhabitants, the agglomerate part being over 1 million inhabitants. The core of the historic city is situated on the bank of Vistula, Wawel hill on foot, in the south of the country in the region of Little Poland.

Krakow is one of the oldest and largest cities of Poland. This city has written a beautiful story because it was the residence of Polish kings. Today, this place is still consideat heart of Poland, with a history of over 1000 years. Krakow is also an important tourist center, being the target of over 7 million tourists annually. Located in the upper Vistula Valley, currently the capital of voivodeship, the city-port, visited the delight of millions of visitors, is one of the few places where inestimabilele works of art collected from long centuries were destroyed in World War time.
Today, Krakow is considered the most beautiful city in Poland and has added to its existing long emblem attribute of 'Capital of Art and Youth'. During May-June, during anualelor 'Days of Cracoviei' is here 'Juvenalia', a carnival in which student support Tinerimea exam to university talent and artistic innovation.
