Wawel Cathedral is possibly the most historic place of Poland. The style is, in large part, Gothic, dating from the reign of King Wladyslaw the short (1306-1333) and of Kazimierz the Great (1333-1370). Wawel Cathedral, Poland's national sanctuary, was the coronation of the monarch of Poland. It is probably the most interesting place in the country, together with the adjacent Royal Wawel Castle.
